I am expanding my lab. Limited funded graduate student positions are available. Also, I am happy to support external fellowship applications from prospective postdocs and students interested in joining the lab. If you would like to pursue a graduate degree in Environment and Society at USU with me, preferably on a project delving into renewable energy and biodiversity issues, you can email me at sarah[dot]klain@usu[dot]edu. Note that I have a slight preference for students who already have an undergraduate degree as well as professional work experience related to sustainability . If interested in joining my lab, please include the following in your email:
- Your CV or resume
- A brief description of your background and broader career objective(s)
- Why you think a MSc or PhD with me would be a good fit given my research interests
- A one to two page description of an idea you would like to work on during your degree, including why it’s important (big picture), what more narrow topic(s) interest you within that broader topic, one to two research questions, proposed methods and anticipated results. I expect you to reference at least three academic publications in this description.
